Here at Seaview Health, we are predominantly a private billing practice, with discounted rates for pension and health care card holders (fees may vary between practitioners).  A medicare rebate will apply to most consultation fees.  At the time of payment, the claim for medicare rebate can be sent and it will be directly deposited into your account by medicare. 
Consultations for Chronic disease management plans, the reviews of these plans are bulk billed and general consultations may be bulk billed at the discretion of the practitioner.  Please discuss with your doctor if your medical care is causing you financial difficulties.   
 Patients are asked to settle their account in full on the day of consultation or additional admin fees may apply. We accept Cash, Credit card, or EFTPOS.  ​

Medicare system and rebates – Medicare rebates often do not cover the full cost of delivering a high-quality health service. The Government’s indexation of Medicare rebates has also not kept pace with CPI (see graph), which is placing unsustainable pressure on general medical practices, thus limiting our ability to bulk bill patients.
